Akagappa (赤河童, Akagappa) is the leader of Toono Village. He admits to his adviser that when Nurarihyon came to the village 400 years ago and ended up taking a fair number of its denizens along with him that he would have gone as well, were it not for his responsibility to the village. He mentions that there are a lot of similarities in both Rikuo and his grandfather because both of them came to Tono and before he knew it, left suddenly becoming much stronger.
